Starting the game
-----------------
Double click on the icon - Easy!
(or run it from the shell)
The current directory must contain the "data/" directory so it can load the rooms, saved games, highscore data and the playbacks in demo mode.
Note: The highscore data is encrypted, and yes, that is a challenge! It's not very hard to crack, so please have a go!
The Title Screen
----------------
Press Down to go to the options menu where you can:
Move the screen
Redefine the keys
Set the pause between frames
Fire to Start the game
Escape to Quit the game
Or just wait a while for demo mode!
Objective:
----------
Eggit wakes up on the shore after being shipwrecked...
Try to get off the Island by completing every puzzle in your way!
Well, what did you expect?
You don`t get the full ending unless you get 30 coins - no chance!
Hints:
------
-Most things that move kill Eggit.
-Fire kills, so stay away.
-If you're struggling to control eggit, try holding down jump and changing
direction in the air, its more precise.
-With flippers you can swim.
-You can move the sturdy box anywhere you want.
-A cloud of smoke in the right place will reach higher than you think.
-Have a good look at the King's pictures.
-Keep your eyes peeled for extra clues in demo mode!
Controls
--------
Keyboard - Almost fully re-definable, but you can't change
fire because you need to press that at the same time as another key.
Or you can use a joystick in the normal port.

Depending on your system, if the game is moving too fast or too slow, you can use the + or - buttons to increase or decrease the delay between loops. It starts off at the default delay for an A1200 030 28Mhz, like mine (before it was compiled, now it runs
You can press escape at any time if you want to load a saved game, save your game, view a map of the explored area or just quit.
The Map
-------
If you have installed this game to hard drive without the maps in the data/map directory, they will be saved as you view them (apart from the one you are in). The next time you view the map, the rooms you have already seen will load much faster,
this doesn't apply to the room you're standing in, or there would be eggs on
every screen.
Highscores
----------
Your score is worked as follows:
1% of the game = 35 points (total of 3500)
1 of 30 coins = 50 points (total of 1500)
1 of over 100 rooms = 10 points (total of over 1000)
Which leaves you with a maximum of just over 6000 points. However, there are bonus puzzles which are dotted about the game. Bonus puzzles may also lead on to other puzzles and coins, but they don't get you any further through the game. They are purely for
points and percentage
Does anyone actually know where you put the Sinclair Abuser mag or the tube of toothpaste for extra score in Dizzy II?
